Role | Purpose & Objectives: BDRs add value in the sales process by discovering customer needs, explaining PayPal’s value proposition in relevant and compelling terms, and gaining customer commitment to take the next step in the sales process. BDRs receive customer contact information and reach out via phone and email to those customers in accordance with general or specific sales campaigns. The BDR’s primary objective is to get customers to attend a live meeting with a PayPal salesperson. Other objectives include collecting relevant customer information to inform the sales process, documenting customer objections, and maintaining customer and opportunity records in SFDC. BDRs are primarily measured on the number of appointments attended by their prospective customers.

Fluent French and English are required for this role

Responsibilities | Specific Duties

  • Conduct up to 40 prospecting calls daily
  • Execute PayPal’s brand & product messaging and discovery call process
  • Validate & edit customer data within PayPal systems (incl. deduping against existing opps in, checks against existing ROE)
  • Discover key information with merchants and enrich the data quality of opportunity fields in salesforce
  • Assign opportunities to relative campaigns and ensure relevant fields are populated in salesforce
  • Warm & Engage leads through Social media, and marketing tactics.
  • Develop a professional social media presence and engage with prospects through LinkedIn mails and Linkedin Sales navigator  
  • Monitor sales navigator usage reports, share additional content, engage with insights to increase your social selling index score
  • Engage with Sales team mates and ensure merchant information discovered is recorded and communicated
  • Obtain access to sales team calendars for appointment arrangement with merchants to ensure a great merchant experience
  • Arrange a minimum of 2 appointments with Sales team per day
  • Follow 6 touch process and MVP to decrease the volume of unengaged opportunities within the BDR and sales pipelines
  • Research companies and contacts via the internet and other sales resources.
  • Support sales team in moving opportunities through the sales stages to reduce lead to live time
  • Obtain engagement with a valid company decision maker and arrange a suitable meeting with sales team to discuss further needs
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales leadership to execute and develop new business campaigns.
  • Communicate with prospects in a consultative selling approach

Requirements | Experience, Qualifications, Personal Agility & Competencies  

Experience & Qualifications | Consistent Track Record of Achievement, Education & Development

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in Sales, Sales Development, Demand or Lead Generation team environments.
  • Native or fluent English speaker with fluency in the language of the region they support.  
  • Business Diploma or Degree with professional or on-the job training in related areas (Project Management People Management, Sales, Lead Generation or B2B Marketing).

  • Experience in lead and opportunity processes in, including the use of operational dashboards and reports. 
  • Strong Excel analysis and reporting skills including Data Table features, Pivot Tables, VLookup and data management formula. 
  • Experience with a range of lead generation prospecting tools (dataprovider, Builtwith, iWays  Prospector, Linkedin)
  • Communicate with prospects in a consultative selling environment through outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn Mails and sales navigator
  • Be able to Identify threats to the merchants business and offer unique solutions
  • Qualify the prospect, set appointments.
  • Knowledge on organization goals, strategy leverages own self- awareness
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
