Working as part of the Global Governance Risk & Compliance team, Financial Risk Manager – GGRC EMEA will be responsible for supporting the Risk Management function. Specific duties include:

  • Supporting Pillar II framework (ICAAP, ILAAP etc.) for Luxembourg Bank and other entities, including risk identification, assessment and quantification, as well as preparation of regulatory submissions;
  • Support all aspects of Recovery Planning, including assessment of impacts of recovery options, analysis of critical functions/core business lines, interconnectedness etc.;
  • Risk Appetite development & monitoring, considering strategic objectives of the entities in scope;
  • Development and monitoring of KPIs and KRIs;
  • Engaging in regulatory research and analysis of the impacts on entities in scope (including EBA, CSSF, BCL guidelines etc.);
  • Participating in enhancing and advancing quantitative risk management framework of the Bank, including review of model validation reports and implementing the overall model governance framework;
  • Addressing regulatory queries / ad-hoc requests relating to regulatory submissions (ICAAP, ILAAP, Recovery Plan);
  • Acting as part of a team, ensuring internal and external submissions are scheduled to ensure timely delivery;
  • Working with Global peers to facilitate implementation of policy / process changes as well as feedback on models used;
  • Supporting the EMEA GGRC Director and Prudential Risk Lead and preparing and present periodic updates for executive management;
  • Assisting GGRC EMEA during onsite inspections by local regulators, internal and external audit;
  • Liaising with GGRC peers in resolving exam findings, particularly those related to Pillar 2 framework;
  • Challenging, resolving, and communicating issues to internal stakeholders;
  • Seeking out efficiencies for process and capacity improvement including automation;
  • Assisting the International GGRC teams in any related initiatives outside of EMEA;
  • Project management.

Requirements:

  • Risk professional, preferably with a Big 4 background and ~5 years’ professional experience in banking/e-commerce/payments industries;
  • MA (or equivalent) preferred;
  • Understanding of banking regulations;
  • Experience in Pillar II reporting;
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with fluency in English mandatory;
  • Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast paced and dynamic environment with a high degree of personal accountability, integrity and trust;
  • A strong focus on process efficiency, automation and quality assurance of output;
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;
  • Ability to create and maintain a balanced, positive work environment;
  • Willingness to travel approximately 5-10% p.a.;
  • Ability to share information, transfer knowledge and expertise to team members;
  • Ability to escalate issues and seek guidance as required.
