As a member of the Payments finance team, this Financial Analyst role will work on understanding the payment eco-system and work on analytics and reporting tied with the eco-system. Primary goal would be to understand how the transaction expense trends are by different Processors, Acquirers, Networks and Issuers by different regions (30+ partners across all areas). Develop reporting and monitoring for KPIs in the eco-system model and create business cases for commercial discussions with payment partners

Core Responsibilities include:
•    Become a domain expert in PayPal Payments and conduct rigorous data analysis to help improve transaction expense and understand eco-system performance
•    Develop reporting and monitor KPIs for the Eco-system (Network, Acquirers, Processors & Issuers)
•    Create automated process for tracking Issuer related KPIs and overall Bank/Issuer partnership portfolio
•    Manage contract reporting and socialize with both internal and external stakeholders
•    Provide analytical support and insights on eco-system related changes to enable informed decision making
•    Have a significant business impact through driving process improvements and cost effectiveness
•    Work directly and independently with business partners across multiple projects and manage deliverables and timelines

Job Requirements:
•    Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Finance, Economics or related quantitative discipline; Master’s degree preferred
•    Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in a related field/industry is preferred
•    Experience with data aggregation using SQL (Teradata, MySQL or PHP), flat file or json payload handling through programmatic code, ETL tools (Informatica) or database experience is preferred
•    Fluent in Excel or ability to learn quickly on the job; experience with a statistical programming language (e.g., R, Python), and/or web analytics tools (e.g., Adobe Omniture, Google Analytics) preferred
•    Prior experience in visualization tools such as Tableau and/or Qlikview preferred
•    Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills a must, including the ability to explain and/or present analyses
•    Must have good business judgment with demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically
•    Ability to work through large, complex data across various teams and systems; summarize for senior leadership communication
•    Comfortable working in a fast paced, cross functional team environment setting
