As a member of PayPal’s Marketing Finance team, this position will play a key role in providing financial leadership and counsel to senior leaders of the Global Marketing Team. This role will work closely with the Marketing leadership team to develop a full understanding of Company strategic priorities and partner with them to execute and improve financial planning, budgeting and reporting. The ideal candidate should have experience in Marketing finance and a proven track record of delivering excellent finance support and strong business partnership. We are looking for a finance superstar that works autonomously but in collaboration with teammates and business partners to:

  • Develop and execute the global budgeting exercise including plan consolidation, monthly forecasts, and reporting – in collaboration with senior management to understand and challenge inputs to improve accuracy and discipline.
  • Partner with Global Business leaders to deliver monthly forecasting processes and provide analytical fire power to drive long-term planning process
  • Finance global representative in Marketing Leadership forums to drive OPEX discussions around budget utilization
  • Lead and provide assessment of risks and opportunities to business leaders to drive sound financial decisions and positive impact to the business
  • Partner with Global Analytics on all OPEX related matters including reporting, analysis, opportunity assessment and other cross-functional activities
  • Actively liaison with Global Marketing Analytics to link customer and commercial outcomes with Spends and feed into appropriate forums
  • Partner with the Marketing Analytics team on Marketing mix and recommendation for Investments. Provide transparency on investment allocation and as well as ROI.
  • Support and streamline the financial process of partner integration costs and coordinate with the other finance teams and Sales Operation on process optimization
  • Support Global reporting, monitoring and education around business performance and financial management enabling quality decision making
  • Financial modeling and analysis including monthly management reporting with explanation of results, identification of trends in financial performance, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop an understanding of the Global strategic priorities, resource and headcount needs; partner with business and finance to execute and improve financial planning and budgeting
  • Lead Global month-end close, forecasting, reporting and annual budget planning for OPEX and headcount
  • In depth understanding of Marketing to define Global Marketing taxonomy to produce accurate reporting
  • Spear head monthly and quarterly operational reviews and business deep dives
  • Maintain and optimize existing OPEX processes to improve efficiency
  • Ensure strict adherence to corporate policies and GAAP regulations
  • Ad-hoc analysis & projects as needed to support business needs and decision making
  • Financial Modeling and Planning, including trend and variance analysis

Job Requirements:

  • 12+ years of professional experience in a high growth technology company, fin tech preferred
  • 7yrs+ proven global stakeholder management experience required (external client management preferred)
  • 5 yrs+ hands on experience in designing high quality dashboards (Tableau, Alteryx, Excel Modelling)
  • 5yrs+ experience in data governance and financial modelling
  • 3yrs+ experience of working with Marketing department
  • 3yrs+ experience of working with Sales and/or Product department
  • Experienced leader with proven ability to influence senior management
  • Strong exposure of working in MNCs and experience in diverse countries/cultures preferred
  • Exposure in Management Consulting firms preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Masters Equivalent or advanced certification in Finance and or Analytics
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced dynamic environment and manage multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to craft influential presentation and summarize findings and recommendations
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and maneuvering through organizational hierarchies
  • Strong candidates will have MS Excel & PowerPoint expertise and working experience with SAP/Oracle systems.
