This opportunity is on the Zettle’s Financial Planning and Analysis team, which focuses on driving PayPal’s success by providing strategic business & pipeline planning, quantitative insights and serving as trusted business advisors to the commercial organization. The team is collaborating with and supporting both the local Zettle business as well as PayPal headquarters in San Jose, California.

Primarily Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of Zettle by PayPal economic model. Identify key business levers, establish cause & effect, perform analyses and communicate key findings to various stakeholders up-and-down the organization to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  • Support the development of strategic plans, annual financial budgets and monthly forecasts with data-driven insights.
  • Consolidate and partner with segment finance leads to explain overall performance, forecast and variances for presentation to leadership.
  • Work closely with the business to build business cases and financial models. Provide cross functional support to determine impact on the business unit’s P&L.
  • Discover and propose new opportunities to grow and optimize the business through analytics, financial modeling and business case development.
  • Budget, forecast and monthly follow up from a management reporting perspective

About You:

  • 7-10 years progressive experience in financial planning/business analytics role
  • Ideally experience in a fast growing, medium/large company environment within the eCommerce or financial services sectors
  • Candidate must be able to work independently in a fast-paced cross-functional environment
  • Responsible for supporting global stakeholder departments, working across complex data sets across different geographies; NA, Europe and International
  • World-class analytical skills to help glean and communicate simple to understand insights from complex data sets
  • Solid business acumen, demonstrated by a balance of strong strategic and pragmatic, detail-oriented  thinking
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels and collaborate with organizational partners and stakeholders
  • You are an ambitious team player who feels accountable for the full team delivery and contributes to a great team spirit
  • Excellent business English is a prerequisite


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; MBA/Master’s degree or higher in a quantitative field preferred
  • 10+ years of finance experience, with strong financial planning and analysis experience and a proven track record
  • Experience using analytics techniques to contribute to company growth efforts, increasing revenue and other key business outcomes
  • Advanced Proficiency with MS Office specifically with Excel skills (Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, VLOOKUPs, Goal Seek and Macros are a few of your favorite things)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in large database manipulation through standard access tools, such as SQL and budget/reporting tools (Essbase, BPC, SAP)
