Overview: In this position you will be a trusted partner to Sales Leadership by virtue of improving FP&A capabilities to derive actionable insights and improve processes. The SMB/Marketplaces and NA/GA/BT Finance Manager will develop tools, financial models and processes to support planning. It will also require collaborating with the broader FP&A team to produce executive level presentations and drive optimal decision making. A successful candidate will have strong analytical skills and be able to produce data driven insights. The candidate will also be responsible for coordinating and driving planning in scalable, accurate, and efficient ways; while being comfortable navigating matrix organizations and collaborative environments.

Core responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with Sales FP&A to develop a deep understanding of PayPal’s business across different PayPal’s regions & segments and drafting CEO & CFO presentations. This includes working with Sales Leadership and different FP&A team members to produce weekly, monthly and quarterly reports and monthly forecasts.
  • Develop & maintain tools & financial models to support the planning & forecasting processes across PP SMB/Marketplaces and NA/GA/BT.
  • Regularly contribute to Operations Reviews, which are presented at SLT and C-Level. The objective is to drive a clear and concise Revenue and OpEx performance stories.
  • Drive scalable tools and processes, partnering with global FP&A and technology teams. For example - producing analytical dashboards or developing new Essbase Cubes.

Education required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; MBA/Master’s degree or higher in a quantitative field preferred.
  • Advanced Proficiency with MS Office specifically with Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in large database manipulation through standard access tools, such as SQL and reporting tools (Essbase).

Required experience:

  • Relevant experience within strategic finance and/or FP&A, ideally at a high-growth technology company, investment banking or management consulting. Ideally in a fast growing, medium/large company environment within the eCommerce or financial services sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience in guiding decisions, driving forecast and budget processes in highly matrixed environment.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Exceptional process/project management skills. Results oriented in a cross-functional / multicultural environment.
  • A proven ability to build strong collaborative working relationships with business partners; you are seen as a trusted and objective advisor.
  • Extensive experience building detailed financial analysis that is used to drive business decisions.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills is a must, including the ability to explain and present analyses.
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, cross functional team environment.

Required knowledge:

  • Strong Excel and Power Point skills. Experience with database products (i.e. Essbase, SQL).
  • Excellent English proficiency.
