The Global Professional Services organization is responsible for providing implementation services on PayPal’s Payment, Identity and Risk Platforms, as well as our Marketplace solutions and global product offerings. We work with Senior Account Executives to understand our Global Partner business objectives, envision the solutions, and turn the vision into reality. Bring your passion and leadership and connect with our product engineering teams to deliver amazing consumer experiences to our Global Core and International Markets. We are looking for an enthusiastic, well-experienced Engagement Manager to work with our services team to lead Partner initiatives and integrations. This individual will work directly with our Global Platform Partners and Business Development Account Executives throughout the Pre-Sales stage to Solution launch.

The ideal candidate has solid business acumen with executive presence to support our Partners through implementation planning.  You will lead and provide guidance in cross-functional product discussions related to functional design, solution, and integration for large-scale projects.  Loves to work with people on complex engagements and ensure Customer success.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Be an industry consultant and trusted advisor for the Partner
  • Understanding the Partner’s business requirements, and short and long-term strategy
  • Coordinate, manage and support all efforts for implementation planning, communications, and escalations
  • Be inclusive.  Show leadership and act as a mentor to team members and peers within PayPal

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent customer facing and interpersonal skills, and deep relationship management aptitude
  • Ability to influence others across cross-functional teams and lead with authority.
  • Capable of handling competing priorities, time sensitive deliverables, and make informed decisions
  • Collaborating to create successful end-to-end payment solutions and experiences across multiple internal units including Sales, Engineering, Marketing, Account Management, and Operations.
  • Ability to manage several concurrent implementations with internal and external project teams
  • Share visibility of all work streams and metrics across multiple Partner projects
  • Communicate key insights and metrics for existing projects to internal and external stakeholders
  • Present business recommendations to Senior leadership
  • Ability to continually grow product knowledge, and train others on our proposed technical solutions.
  • Create presentations to share with internal teams and Sr. leadership on our product and technical solutions

Preferred skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
  • 10+ year’s professional related experience or Master’s Degree and 7+ years
  • Experience and knowledge in global payment products, ecommerce and business solutions
  • Proficient in the project management methodologies prevalent in the industry.
  • Excellent speaking and presentation skills, proven leadership abilities and warm personality
  • Has established internal best practices, methodologies, templates, tools, utilities and processes for appropriate standardization of engagements and integrations.
  • Experience in leading or managing teams (directly or indirectly)
  • Prior Consulting or Professional Services experience (Software, IT)
  • Industry knowledge on mobile and web applications
  • Leverage technical and business acumen to deliver payment solutions
  • Technical knowledge of PayPal’s products, architecture, and platforms
