PayPal Giving Fund aims to inspire a new wave of philanthropy by harnessing the power of technology to make giving a part of everyday life. We do this by developing and managing innovative programmes that enable donors to support their favourite charities with leading Internet businesses, including PayPal, Facebook, eBay, Humble Bundle and GoFundMe.

The Director, UK and Ireland, will have responsibility for growing PayPal Giving Fund’s impact and efficiency through effective management and governance, targeted business development, go-to-market planning and operational improvement. Reporting to PPGF’s Global CEO, the director will be based mainly in the UK but we also anticipate they will spend time supporting the development of PayPal Giving Fund’s future operations in Ireland.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing leadership for PayPal Giving Fund in the UK and Ireland
  • Driving growth through business development
  • Managing and improving our operations

Job Requirements:

  • Master Degree or equivalent
  • Experience in sales and business development within internet businesses or similar organisations
  • Experience in multinational organisations with complex structures
  • A thoughtful and numerate analyst, with the ability to see the story behind financial and other metrics
  • The intellectual ability and confidence to develop and adapt strategy, and to present plans to experienced executives for scrutiny
  • A systems thinker, with the ability to understand and optimize complex ecosystems with multiple goals
  • A strong understanding and passion for the charity and fundraising sector and the online world
  • A proven manager of people with demonstrable leadership potential
  • An experienced and responsible manager of programms and budgets
  • Have a collaborative and flexible style, able to handle ambiguity and dependencies on internal and external organizations
  • The right to work in Ireland or UK or potential ability to secure this quickly.
