The PayPal sales organization acquires merchant and partners via direct and indirect sales teams. The global Revenue Operations & Enablement team supports the functions essential to the global sales force. These include planning, process optimization, compensation support, sales tools management, sales and partner analytics, and account management. The Director, Revenue Operations - Europe/Australia is responsible for driving sales productivity and effectiveness, supporting the Head of Enterprise Sales – Europe/Australia and their sales teams and working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure the appropriate objectives and priorities are enabled within the sales organization. This role is a member of the Global Enterprise Sales Revenue Operations & Enablement leadership team and works with the centers of excellence in order to execute on projects and acts as the central European point of contact for the global sales leadership teams.


  • Manages a revenue operations team responsible for enabling the sales teams within the region(s).
  • Responsible for coordinating business planning process and outputs as part of enabling the operating rhythms of the sales teams within the region(s), and for driving and enabling sales best practices including, but not limited to, Pipeline & Forecast Management, Territory & Account Planning and Lead Management.
  • Partner with sales management to oversee day-to-day process execution, identify problems, recommend/take corrective action and communicate performance results and/or changes throughout sales organization and cross-functional business unit team.
  • Lead sales forecasting, planning, and processes used within the sales organization. Proactively monitors and strives to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in the sales organization’s planning efforts.
  • Plan and execute the tactical elements of sales to develop best practices and continuously improve effectiveness: sales model/processes/methodologies, competencies, productivity metrics, quota planning, coverage model, territory design, lead generation management, departmental communications
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams on sales GTM process, tracking and administration of new sales campaigns and products.
  • Create and administer new sales processes and proactively identify improvement opportunities for contracting, pricing, compliance, underwriting, and all other functions required for new business acquisition.
  • Manages and provides input to senior leadership and Compensation COE in the development and administration of sales incentive compensation programs.
  • Acts as a liaison with other departments, such as Analytics and Sales Technology, by understanding the sales model and ensuring the integrity of information available through various system and reporting structures.
  • Assist in the development of internal audits and controls to ensure integrity of business processes and data.
  • Provide overall support and departmental coordination for Revenue Operations & Enablement team inquiries, ad-hoc requests and projects for Enterprise Sales in region.
  • Assist with the standardization, simplification, and scalability of sales processes across Enterprise Sales globally.
  • Coordinate with Revenue Operations & Enablement Centers of Excellence to ensure consistent design and execution of processes, technology, and sales team enablement across all PayPal sales and service segments.

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience within sales management, sales/revenue operations or management consulting within Europe
  • Experience in banking, payments, financial services or fintech
  • Strong leadership capabilities, including experience of building highly motivated team
  • Requires an excellent understanding of standard business practices related to Sales/Revenue Operations processes and systems (sales cycle,, reporting, forecasting, territory management and sales quotas).
  • Clear, strategic thinker with vision, with the ability to execute on priorities
  • Ability to build relationships that enable collaboration with and influence of Revenue Operations & Enablement senior management, sales senior management, and cross functional stakeholders equally
  • Confident self-starter with a keen attention for detail and an ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to work with colleagues in Europe, the United States, Australia, and Asia and on occasion accommodate calls and deadlines aligned to their time zones
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) required. Additional fluency in French, German, or Spanish helpful.
