As a Director of Product Management on the Enterprise Merchant Solutions team, you will be responsible for understanding the payment platform needs and competitive landscape of large global brands and domestic enterprise direct merchants. Engaging closely with our customers, our commercial leaders, product marketing managers, customer success reps, and support organization, you will own the strategy and long-term vision for the solutions and payment products that fulfill the needs of the enterprise merchant segment. You and your team will also collaborate with Finance and Analytics to build the business case to fund and execute on these needs. We are looking for an experienced Product Leader who is excited to focus on enterprise businesses and wade into the details of problem discovery and collaborate with product teams to define payment capabilities, features and/or business processes that enhance our global commerce platform for enterprises. The right candidate will possess a strong understanding of the payments ecosystem and will be adept at collaborating with a variety of teams and stakeholders, and effective in setting clear expectations, prioritizing activities, and following through in a fast and fluid working environment. The Role:

Your Responsibilities: 

  • Deeply understand our merchants and their needs across markets and business verticals, ensuring we are attuned to their evolving requirements and helping them to grow their businesses.  

  • Build, coach, and manage a team of Product Managers aligned to the enterprise merchant segment and focused enabling the success and productivity of our merchants globally. 

  • Assess where the enterprise product offering is against the key industry data as well as what features our competitors have provided to address the specific requests from the customer segment 

  • Liaise with Sales, Product Marketing, and Global Professional Services teams in PayPal to understand the key customer opportunities and communicate back deliveries satisfying those asks 

  • Rationalize and prioritize the funnel of feature requests and growth opportunities coming from our Enterprise stakeholders and customers and develop a product strategy for the segment. 

  • Define product requirements and lead successful execution of initiatives that enable our largest Enterprise businesses for PayPal 

  • Use analytics, market research, usability studies, and competitive analysis to drive decision making 

  • Partner with Risk, Legal, Privacy, and Compliance teams to ensure the products we deliver are within regulatory boundaries. 

  • Engage closely with engineering and architecture to help determine the best technical implementation/design while balancing time-to-market needs. 

  • Partner with other product and cross-functional teams at PayPal as well as external enterprises to design, build, launch, and market new payment capabilities.  

  • Define and proactively monitor key performance metrics to support and inform product decisions. Engage in problem solving with analytics to determine trends and root causes. 

  • Define a product launch plan for your area, including identifying new opportunities as well as maintaining a rolling marketing roadmap of projects. 

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of a BS/BA is required, MBA or MS is preferred 

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, engineering and/or management consulting in online software development.  

  • 5+ years in leadership roles, building and managing teams.  

  • Demonstrated business acumen and product knowledge inside the payments ecosystem:  

  • Experience leading and delivering enterprise products at scale and managing product solutions with multiple stakeholders. 

  • Proven track record for building, launching, and maintaining high-scale, successful enterprise software products – preferably ecommerce or other FinTech.  

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across global teams 

  • Comfortable using data and analytics to inform product decisions 

  • Strong ability to collaboratively lead cross-functional groups and drive action
