We’re looking for an experienced Director of Marketing Planning to join our Marketing organization. The ideal candidate has a strong financial, marketing analytical, and planning background, and is capable of managing a team of marketing planners who provide critical planning, prioritization, and reporting for our marketing leaders and teams. In this role, you will provide strategic support, manage planning cycles, ensure continued optimization of our marketing plans and budgets, and ensure consistent reporting of marketing activities and business impact. Reporting into the Sr. Director, Planning, Transformation, and Team Operations, your scope will be across consumer and merchant marketing across the globe. This is a key role that serves as an important business driver between marketing functions, and with Product and Sales stakeholders.

Primary Job Responsibilities: 

  • Manage top-down and bottom-up budget planning, shaping scenarios for baseline and incremental budget opportunities 

  • Work closely with Marketing Finance and Analytics to ensure accurate forecasting of marketing impact, optimization of marketing to drive customer actions and growth of new customers, revenue, and LTV, and consistent reporting of results 

  • Provide key insights and recommendations for budget optimization and investment opportunities, assessing return on marketing investment, market share potential, and other factors to drive customer growth across all geographies 

  • Prepare executive reports and contribute to recurring status updates, cross-functional presentations, and provide key inputs into recurring leadership updates. 

  • Partner with marketing teams across customer segments on recurring planning and prioritization cadences 

  • Work closely with finance, agencies, and internal teams to provide full visibility, reporting, and insights for Marketing spend across the globe. 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • A minimum 12+ years of experience in marketing planning and analysis, with a strong background working on budgeting, business planning, forecasting, optimization, and financial models 

  • Deep understanding of how marketing levers drive business growth, customer LTV, and revenue via acquisition, engagement, demand generation, and churn prevention  

  • B2B and B2C experience, or experience in multi-sided network businesses 

  • Superb analytical acumen with the ability to assess, dissect, and synthesize data from multiple sources to scenario plan and optimize business growth 

  • Successful communicator with experience presenting to executive management and collaborating with multiple internal teams 

  • Proven leadership skills, with a successful track record of team building and developing talent 

  • Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills to best present and shape the marketing impact and performance story 

  • Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, and influencing skills to build trust and lasting partnerships with diverse global teams 



  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field 

  • MBA preferred
