• Manage a high performing team of Engineers in the Cryptography arm of the Enterprise Cyber Security Product Development organization
• Build, grow, and retain an excellent engineering team to innovate, invent, and deploy best-in-class software. Develop and grow this talent through effective mentoring and coaching
• Assure the availability, scalability, and performance of application software your team delivers
• Provide technical leadership: articulate high-level technical strategy, encourage technical discussions, establish unified principles for software development, and facilitate code reviews to drive the shipping of quality code into production and other development efforts
• Partners closely with Product and Architect counterparts to align on vision, ensure teams are appropriately skilled and mapped to achieve that vision, and then deliver on that vision
• Define goals, OKRs, KPIs, SLAs and drive continuous improvements in velocity, quality and issue management
• Participate in driving vulnerability management strategies and standards that support enterprise security.
• Coordinate internal / external industry audits in collaboration with PayPal internal teams and recommend changes needed for industry compliance
• Provide Asymmetric and symmetric encryption subject matter expertise in Applied Cryptography Audits

Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience directly managing Engineering Managers
• 3+ years of Agile, scrum, SAFE delivery experience
• 3+ years managing a software development team experience in an engineering leadership position at a technology company
• 4+ years building security products, with a preference for cryptography emphasis
• 10+ years Software Development experience
• 5-10 years of work experience in Cybersecurity operations supporting highly complex clients or services
• Demonstrated ability to manage global teams and build and maintain strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Proven track record leading core engineering functions: code reviews, design proposals, code style/structure, contribution guidelines, release conventions, testing strategy
• Experience in large-scale software development in one or more programming language
• Experience with distributed architectures, service-oriented architectures, and/or microservices
• Advanced understanding of software design patterns: object oriented, functional, reactive, data-intensive, scalability, availability principles
• Experience driving adoption of software development best practices (continuous deployment, devops, full-stack engineering, micro-service architecture, etc.).
• Well-developed ability to attract, mentor, motivate, retain and develop talent
Nice to Have:
• Experience in developing cutting-edge technology in the Payments, Money Movement space
• Knowledge of full breadth of systems, products and services required for mature cryptography implementations and services, in depth knowledge of CA/Browser and Industry PKI Trusted Root requirements and industry compliance requirements
• Proven track record in designing and implementing latest security trends and products including Cloud based key management, use of advanced cryptography like ECC, certificates
