PayPal is the clear leader in global online payments. The Decision Analytics Service team mainly focus on building offline analytics datasets and provide analytics data support and business insights. We are currently seeking for a Senior Data Analyst who has strong analytical skills and passion to drive data-driven insights. This position is responsible for building data quality framework of critical risk data and flows, identifying business opportunity through quantitative analysis and working with multiple team on business solution development and implementation.

Job Requirements

  • Conduct sophisticated quantitative analysis and drive deep data-driven business insights for critical decision making
  • Set up processes and framework for responding to data/system issues with cross functional teams in a timely manner
  • Partner with multiple team to identify business opportunity and build business solution from risk and operation perspectives

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master or equivalent degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer and Engineering.
  • Demonstrates good understanding of Risk analytics system, risk methodology and solution architecture. 
  • Has strong data analytics background, knowledge of statistical modeling and data mining.
  • Experience in manipulating large and complex datasets through statistical software, such as Python or SAS or R.
  • Capable of handling big data.  Prior experience with Teradata, Hadoop is big plus.
  • Highly skilled in drawing relevant conclusion from analyses; relating analyses to business outcomes and strategic goals. Past experience in data science, decision science and quantitative optimization are preferred.
  • Experienced with report analysis and development using business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Microstrategy, QlikView. Able to pick up new programming skills quickly.
