We are currently recruiting for a Data Scientist to working with cross-functional teams on seller risk related project, which discover knowledge and make critical business decisions from huge volume of both internal data and external data for seller risk management. During this journey, you will be able to understand the core essence of online payment industry and the major risks we are fighting with on a daily basis.   • Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, modelling and data mining to extract business insight and solve business problem in risk management.
  • Explore automation opportunities to effectively manage large portfolio and $million scale loss budget
  • Interact with product and data service teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams inside risk to identify trends and opportunity.
  • Build, maintain and enhance the data projects, able to identify meaningful business insights from large data and metadata.
  • Design and develop the prototype of data application for internal demonstration.
  • Use various data visualization tools/techniques to provide insights/learnings
  • Project leader to liaise with different partners, define project scope and timeline and drive execution.  May gradually ramp up to lead a sub function
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master degree or above in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or related fields.
  • 4+ years related professional experience in data mining, big data, analytics.
  • Strong logical thinking capability. Understanding of various analytical and modeling methods.
  • Experience in managing large volumes of complex data (SQL, SAS, Python, Hadoop, Spark, ETL tools).
  • Good communication skills. Fluency in English, both written and oral.
  • Knowledge of E-commerce, online payment and mobile is a strong plus.
  • Think outside of the box. Willing to have both hard work and have fun.
