We are looking for a high-energy and passionate Cybersecurity Engineer to join a highly motivated team focused on researching and analyzing the rapidly evolving global threat landscape. You will collaborate with technology teams across the company to gain deep understanding and knowledge of our environments. You will research and develop solutions to validate our threat posture and how to effectively defend against our adversaries. You will work with senior leaders to influence our strategic roadmaps. You’ll use your communication and presentation skills to inform the organization on emerging threats and trends. You will play a critical role that will impact the Enterprise Cyber Security team and our company. Bring your expertise in cybersecurity attack, threat research or threat intelligence, and join our Threat and Risk Modeling team. You will collaborate across all technology teams to develop and maintain a comprehensive threat library for one of the largest global Fintech companies. You will establish exhaustive quantitative risk models with your in-depth understanding of the PayPal business.

About This Role:

  • Research and analyze evolving global threat landscape, adversary groups and, attack methods
  • Maintain threat profile for PayPal and comprehensive threat profiles of adversary groups of interest
  • Develop solutions that will validate our attack surface and test our defensive capabilities against susceptibility of threat vectors
  • Maintain library consisting of multi-tier threat models and quantitative risk models
  • Own awareness program to educate technologists on emerging threats and changes
  • Partner closely with ECS Product Management to define strategies and roadmaps to defend PayPal

About You:

  • Excellent command of cybersecurity practices, operations risk management, cybersecurity principles, cybersecurity threats and attacks methods, and threat management concepts  
  • Understanding of national and international laws, regulations and policies related to financial industry
  • Experience with threat modeling methodologies and risk frameworks
  • 7+ years in information security experience
  • 3+ years performing threat research and risk analysis
