The Business Consultant will play a critical role in the Customer Success Management performance team. The candidate will identify and report on key indicators of CSM performance and growth opportunities, using those findings to set the strategic agenda and drive projects for the CSM organisation, and presenting recommendations to the CSM leadership. Projects will include business planning, churn/retention analysis, programme effectiveness, coverage optimization, and ongoing performance measurement. Deliverables range from robust analytic models, custom performance analysis, tactical business initiatives, and the packaging of findings into presentation-ready content for CSM leaders. The successful candidate will possess a passion for creating innovative analysis, working across multiple tools to build insights, develop findings and present recommendations that transcend the numbers. The candidate will require the energy to uncover and understanding and ultimately to contribute to projects impacting and transforming the business. Ideally, this person will have worked or interned in a sales strategy & operations environment, management consultancy, or in a comparable environment that requires business acumen combined with analytical skills and will feel comfortable interacting with senior management on a regular basis.

What you'll achieve

  • Partner with CSM leads on all operational and analytical requests, e.g. business performance analysis, identify opportunities for improvement across systems, tools, and processes.
  • Manage the reporting, analysis and presentation of key performance data for the organisation
  • Assist in developing and delivering presentations for senior executives and inform decisions on a daily basis
  • Take part in key strategic initiatives to transform and shape the business for delivering growth
  • Play a role in the annual planning process by making recommendations in areas such as headcount, target setting, go-to-market strategy and CSM productivity.
  • Manage projects with stakeholders to make data-driven decisions on topics including: growth/churn strategy, operational performance improvements, process improvement, and small/medium scope CSM experiments.
  • Establish strong working relationships with CSM leadership, marketing, systems, and other cross-functional teams to achieve objectives.

About You

  • 4+ years relevant experience in sales and/or customer success strategy, finance, consulting, or in equivalent roles
  • Experience with analytical tools to help break down complex problems and design solutions to them
  • Experience with tools such as Salesforce and BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Qlik)
  • Have a proven track record of leading cross-functional, multi-stakeholder projects to success.
  • “Roll-up-your-sleeves” attitude: Willingness and enthusiasm to build from the ground up
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and efficient while being adaptable to changing priorities and comfortable wearing multiple hats throughout the day
  • Enjoys working cross-functionally through the details of resolving complex issues
  • Excited to understand the big picture and interconnectedness of process and systems, and not afraid to dive deeply into a specific subject
  • Ability to articulate complex problems, processes, or data to peers as well as senior management.
  • Equally comfortable interacting analytical and technical teams across multiple time zones/regions and translating business needs into business solutions
  • Track record of results in fast-moving environments and ability to excel under ambiguity
