We’re looking for a Global Crypto and Digital Currency Operations Manager to work with PayPal Treasury and BCDC (Blockchain, Crypto, and Digital Currency) teams as PayPal moves into cryptographically secured digital currencies and expands its offerings and roadmap. You will be an essential member of a team overseeing and assisting in the management of PayPal’s crypto and digital currency balances and cash balances while working with Treasury and BCDC leads to ensure ongoing excellence and integrity in our Treasury operations as we help hundreds of millions of customers and merchants worldwide accelerate toward a cashless, more inclusive, digital-first future.

  • Partner closely with the BCDC Treasury lead on crypto initiatives to ensure the requirements are clearly considered and defined; collaborate cross-functionally to operationalize these requirements
  • Coordinate with internal Treasury colleagues, BCDC and other stakeholder to ensure bank accounts and treasury infrastructure are set up appropriately to support crypto initiatives
  • Monitor balances between custody accounts and wallets to ensure sufficient funding for business needs and plans. Assist in the reallocation of funds to wallets within custody accounts, if needed, to minimize exposure or business impact
  • Assist in the management and coordination of transfers to reduce concentration exposure where needed
  • Ensure PayPal policies and procedures updated where needed as the BCDC business evolves and expands
  • Manage documentation required for Treasury Operations
  • Assist with bank account maintenance; maintain bank account list for accuracy

Job Qualifications (required):

  • 5+ years of Treasury operations and cash management expertise
  • Strong quantitative finance experience, knowledge of markets and financial products
  • Able to develop initiatives through analytical and structured decision-making and execution
  • Strong financial and quantitative skills
  • Strong ability to organize, multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Demonstrated passion for cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies
  • Intellectually curious, proactive, and able to work both independently and in small teams
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable with an agile and dynamic work environment

Job Qualifications (desired):

  • Previous experience or demonstrated interest in crypto is a strong plus. (For those with this experience, this opportunity to apply your learnings to a platform of 392 million users)
  • Familiarity with treasury systems such as Quantum and others

Education:          

  • Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent
