The Financial Analyst is responsible for financial and analytical support for US PayPal consumer credit business.

The Financial Analyst is responsible for financial and analytical support for US PayPal consumer credit business, focused on forecasting and modeling the US PayPal Credit portfolio. The Financial Analyst will be expected to not only interact with US PayPal business units but also coordinate forecasts with PayPal’s external credit partner.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop monthly, annual and long-term forecasts for the US consumer credit portfolio. Requires working with the business teams to understand and project key business drivers and P&L impacts (revenue and expenses).
  • Engage with the business areas to better understand recent trends and future strategies that may change the trajectory of the key drivers of the business.
  • Prepare ad hoc analyzes that project the impact of potential changes or strategies to help drive and support decisions made by US consumer credit leaders.
  • Provide daily tracking of the performance of the key business drivers and P&L line items to provide updates to the US consumer credit leaders and to the PayPal GFP&A team.


  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
  • "Can-do" attitude and ability to think creatively / challenge assumptions
  • Experience with complex modeling in Excel
  • Consumer Credit experience preferred. Understanding of the financial services, financial tech and payments industry/ecosystem a plus.
  • Impeccable character and integrity.  Team player
  • Ability to work independently but know the right time to ask for help
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in finance, analytics, and/or strategy preferably in Credit Finance
