We are seeking a high-energy and innovative professional to join our Corporate Development and Ventures Group located in our London, UK office

The Corporate Development and Ventures Associate at PayPal will work closely with our deal leads, corporate strategy and executive team to drive end-to-end transaction planning and execution across our M&A and investments activity, including target sourcing and outreach, business case creation, valuation, structuring, due diligence, and integration.

Overall, you will support strategic projects which build on PayPal’s strong foundations, deliver measurable value to the company, and help it achieve its vision. 

Responsibilities 

  • Provide leadership in end-to-end transaction execution 

  • Detailed financial analysis of market opportunities and target companies 

  • Create materials and conduct analyses to support Executive- and Board-level decisions 

  • Assist with managing due diligence process 

  • Monitor, analyze and report M&A and investments activity within PayPal’s markets 

  • Conduct industry and company research and prepare target profiles and industry landscapes as required 

  • Maintain database of PayPal’s trading and relevant transaction comparable 

  • Manage PayPal’s M&A and investments pipeline and reporting 

Basic Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field from a top-tier program with exceptional academic record 

  • Relevant experience in investment banking and/or private equity, venture capital, corporate development in the UK and/or European markets 

  • Superior strategic, financial modelling and analytical skills, with strong focus on details, accuracy, and quality 

  • Strong work ethic and the ability to balance multiple projects and priorities 

  • Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills 

  • Excellence in written and verbal communication skills 

  • Payments, TMT, FinTech or FIG experience is ideal, but not required
