We are seeking a high-energy and innovative professional to join our Corporate Development Group located in our London, UK office. The Senior Associate of Corporate Development Associate position at PayPal will work closely with our deal leads, corporate strategy and executive team to drive end-to-end transaction planning and execution across our M&A and investments activity, including target sourcing and outreach, business case creation, valuation, structuring, due diligence, and integration. You will support strategic projects which build on PayPal’s strong foundations, deliver measurable value to the company, and help it achieve its vision.

Requirements 

  • Provide leadership in end-to-end transaction execution 
  • Detailed financial analysis of market opportunities and target companies 
  • Create materials and conduct analyses to support Executive- and Board-level decisions 
  • Assist with managing due diligence process 
  • Monitor, analyze and report M&A and investments activity within PayPal’s markets  
  • Conduct industry and company research as required and prepare target profiles and industry landscapes 
  • Maintain database of PayPal’s trading and relevant transaction comparables 
  • Manage PayPal’s M&A and investments pipeline and reporting 


Basic Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field from a top-tier program with exceptional academic record 
  • Relevant M&A experience in investment banking and/or private equity, venture capital corporate development (2-43 years) in the UK and/or European markets
  • Superior strategic, financial modeling and analytical skills, with an extraordinary focus on details, accuracy and quality 
  • Experience in summarizing complex information into simple-to-understand PowerPoint presentations that are executive and board-level appropriate 
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to balance multiple projects/priorities to deliver on critical deadlines 
  • Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills 
  • Excellence in written and verbal communication skills 
  • Payments, TMT, FinTech or FIG experience is ideal, but not required
