PayPal is seeking a Corporate Communications Manager for Latin America to help communicate the company’s mission and growth to key stakeholder groups, including business and financial media. The Corporate Communications Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management and execution of a variety of strategic corporate communications and executive visibility programs designed to help the company promote its corporate reputation. This role will report to the Head of Corporate Communications International and will partner with the global Corporate Communications team as well as the broader Corporate Affairs function. This position can be based in Brazil or Mexico.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the global corporate communications team, leadership communications, reputation and risk management and regional communication leads to undertake creative, thoughtful and impactful proactive communications activities to promote PayPal’s corporate narrative and strengthen the company’s brand and corporate reputation
  • Executing PayPal’s corporate communications strategy and messaging for Latin America (with a focus on Brazil and Mexico)
  • Manage corporate media engagement for Latin America. Conduct media relations to build, maintain and track relationships with relevant business and financial media, and other third parties
  • Act as the company’s corporate spokesperson (as appropriate) to top-tier media in Latin America
  • Implement executive visibility and corporate speaking programs for Latin America
  • Partner closely with regional communication leads to ensure consistency and to amplify relevant business milestones and product launches to tell PayPal’s corporate story in Latin America
  • Work as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Manage external communications agencies

Job Requirements

  • 6+ years work experience in PR/communications, agency experience a plus
  • Previous experience in corporate communications, media relations, executive communications, and financial communications
  • Understanding of the media landscape in Latin America (with a focus on Brazil and Mexico)
  • Experience in implementing communications, reputation management and corporate media programs
  • Confident self-starter with a keen attention for detail and an ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment and matrixed organization
  • A team player with a positive attitude, strong collaborative skills and the ability to build relationships internally and externally
  • Experience in working in an international environment recommended
  • Ability to think creatively and outside the box and to bring outside-in thinking to every project
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in Spanish and English; Portuguese a plus
  • Flexibility to work with colleagues in Europe, the United States and Asia and on occasion accommodate calls and deadlines aligned to their time zones
  • Passion for advancing PayPal’s brand and mission to make financial services more affordable and accessible
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
