The Risk Operations Merchant Support Analyst (ROMS) will be the one point of contact for all fraud operational escalations for strategic Merchant accounts.

The Risk Operations Merchant Support Analyst (ROMS) will be the one point of contact for all fraud operational escalations for strategic Merchant accounts. The Merchant Support Senior Specialist is responsible for building an ongoing relationship with a core group of SMB and Enterprise level merchants. The main objectives for the position are to maintain maximum satisfaction among the SMB and Enterprise account base, to serve as the liaison between the merchant and PayPal for all fraud communication and to actively participate in the development and ongoing risk mitigation for large, strategic accounts. The Risk Operations Merchant Support Analyst (ROMS) will be responsible for other duties assigned by operations management, including projects and escalations from Account Managers and localized business units. An ability to work independently while making sound business decisions as well as strong analytical and communication skills are also necessary for this role.

The role will require tight coordination with a wide range of PayPal teams, including, but not limited to: Risk Detections, Consumer Protections, Seller Risk Management, Chargebacks, NA Merchant Services Account Managers, LM Underwriting and Vetting and Global Risk Operations.

Proactively support PayPal merchants with regard to comprehensive management of risk. Monitor account activity through PayPal systems and flags based on possible fraudulent activity.

Liaise with Account Managers who manage the accounts assigned to you and participate in communication with the Merchants where risk expertise is required or will benefit management of accounts. Present, participate, and contribute to on-site meetings and demonstrations for all assigned merchants.

Work on projects as assigned. These will often be related to process improvement and enhanced support of the broader risk management function in PayPal.

Job Requirements:

​Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience

2 years minimum experience in CRS, SRS or Account Management

Experience with SQL and/or Teradata preferred
