The Cloud Management Leader is a Director level role reporting to the Director of Solutions Engagement, inside PayPal’s Site Reliability and Cloud Engineering Team.  Their team will be the interface of all things Cloud Management for PayPal Inc and collaborate with various senior leaders to build and refine our cloud strategy.

Role Description

The Cloud Management Leader is a Director level role reporting to the Director of Solutions Engagement, inside PayPal’s Site Reliability and Cloud Engineering Team.  Their team will be the interface of all things Cloud Management for PayPal Inc and collaborate with various senior leaders to build and refine our cloud strategy.  The person will lead a team that is responsible for the entire cloud intake process, building the cloud financial management program, interacting with all of PayPal’s CSPs, and creating trainings for all persona’s interacting with our CSPs at PayPal. This leader will interact with everyone from the CTO to Sr Cloud Engineers. They need to be able to think on their feet and exhibit both Strategic and Tactical problem solving in a single meeting.  Understand how to be accountable but be able to drive consensus across team to deliver the best-in-class service to the internal PayPal cloud customers.

  • 08:00 – Technology Oversight Org around Materiality
  • 09:00 – Fin Ops team to discuss budget
  • 09:30 – Customer 1 Meeting on new project
  • 10:00 – Cloud Service Provider 1 Meeting
  • 11:00 – Review Intake Pipeline
  • 14:00 – Review Current Training
  • 15:00 – Customer 2 Meeting on their efficiency
  • 16:00 – Meet with Intake team to review processes

Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall intake and materiality process
  • Refine process and ensure meets the needs of PayPal and its users
  • Interact with leaders from Risk Management, Technology Oversight, Customers across PayPal, Information Security, Internal Cloud Development Teams,
  • Hire a team of Internal Technical Account Managers to guide customers through the process
  • Collaborate on the Financial Management of Cloud
  • Ensure all customers have funding for new initiatives
  • Build plan to enable each customer to understand their efficiency
  • Meet regularly with all stakeholders
  • Build Process for regular interaction with all Cloud Service Providers
  • Includes conversations with all levels at both ethe CSP’s and internal
  • Build Plan for overall cloud strategy with leaders across the entire paypal ecosystem
  • Collaborate on plan for training across the CSP’s and internal teams
  • From DevOps to individual trainings for each team

Qualifications

  • 7 to 10 years Operations experience working in the tech industry with computer hardware, software and cloud based service
  • Experience and confidence with executive level engagement and presentation
  • Ability to collect, organize, and display relevant data in spreadsheet and professional presentation formats
  • Follow-through and problem solving skills necessary to collect information from internal teams, managers and third parties
  • Collaborative skills and an ability to influence cross-functional teams to deliver successful business outcomes for the line of business
  • Relationship building skills, teamwork, and experience working with contracts, contractors, and supplier representatives
  • Previous Managerial experience required
  • MBA nice to have
  • Cloud Experience required
  • Experience running virtual teams
  • Consulting experience a nice to have
