In this role, you’ll support the Chief Product Officer’s organization in workforce management, including Position Management in Workday and similar tools, hiring and attrition forecast activities, stakeholder management in a cross-functional environment. You'll work alongside fellow Business Operations counterparts as well as cross-functionally to support initiatives which build on PayPal’s strong foundations, deliver measurable value to the company, and help it achieve its vision. The position involves frequent interaction with senior leaders as well as all other PayPal staff levels and external stakeholders, globally.

Business Program Management

PayPal has experienced explosive growth over the past few years and as its customers have grown and expanded, so too have the complexities and interdependencies of PayPal’s product portfolio. The Product Business Operations team acts as the “connective tissue” linking all aspects of the organization together, and we are growing to support those needs.

In this role, you’ll support the Chief Product Officer’s organization in workforce management, including Position Management in Workday and similar tools, hiring and attrition forecast activities, stakeholder management in a cross-functional environment. You'll work alongside fellow Business Operations counterparts as well as cross-functionally to support initiatives which build on PayPal’s strong foundations, deliver measurable value to the company, and help it achieve its vision. The position involves frequent interaction with senior leaders as well as all other PayPal staff levels and external stakeholders, globally.


Responsibilities include:

Business Strategy, Planning, and Reviews

  • Supporting the development of PayPal’s strategy on high visibility initiatives, and long-term strategic priorities in key ecosystem areas
  • Developing recommendations and preparing written and oral presentations to senior management 
  • Analyzing data from various sources to compile a comprehensive picture of the overall business operational performance.
  • Producing periodic reports on a wide range of strategic and tactical analysis

Workforce Planning and Management

  • Support Workforce Planning and hiring forecast related activities, including cross collaboration with multiple teams on strategic alignment and approvals
  • Own Position Management in Workday and other workforce management tools, including tracking and enabling the stakeholders with regular status and progress updates
  • Partner with Finance, HR, Talent Acquisition and the Business leads to plan, forecast, and track hiring and attrition

Program Management

  • Balancing urgent and effective action, commitment to excellence, and taking initiative to resolve problems; holding internal stakeholders accountable where appropriate
  • Coordinating, supporting and providing guidance on initiatives to cross-functional PayPal stakeholders

Process Improvement

  • Developing and implementing best practices across operating rhythms and routines 
  • Supporting day to day operations and delivering on strategy and operational plans from the planning process against the strategic vision for PayPal


Qualifications

Technical Acumen

  • 5+ years of experience in program management, operations analytics, consulting, investment banking, and/ or corporate strategy
  • Industry expertise in payments and / or technology preferred 
  • Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint

Business Acumen

  • Strong communication, listening, and negotiation skills; able to convey important messages in a clear and compelling manner
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment 
  • Strong critical, creative and analytical thinking, decision making and innovative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects with competing priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to change; comfortable dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty

  • Capable of executing short-term (tactical) and long term (strategic) plans
  • Ability to balance business partnership with the need to exercise independent judgment and to raise issues in a timely and constructive manner
