PayPal is seeking a process manager with exposure to building products, data science and robotic process automation to join the Data, Analytics, Intelligence and Strategy team within Global Financial Crimes & Customer Protection. As an automation process manager your goal is to work with our Policy, Analytics, and Operations leaders to identify processes that can be automated through data science and or RPA. You will work in close collaboration with multiple areas of the company in multiple regions across PayPal’s footprint, requiring extensive communication and collaboration. The role will also be responsible for partnering closely with the Global Data Science team and the RPA engineering team to prioritize, track and execute.

Our team, Data, Analytics, Intelligence and Strategy, enables Global Financial Crimes & Customer Protection by delivering actionable business insights, sound business intelligence, strategic workforce planning and democratizing data.

In this role, you will work with our operations, analytics, and policy colleagues to identify processes that are candidates for automation. The solution will span across data science and RPA. You will set and execute on a roadmap for this program that reflects your process, program, and automation expertise. You will be a thought partner to our policy, analytics, and operations teams. You will partner with these teams to understand the processes that exist today and collectively identify automation opportunities. You will work cross functionally with the RPA engineering and the Data Science teams on the execution. You will also leverage cross-functional teams to understand other ideas and solutions that are currently in play. You are deeply curious and persistent in gaining knowledge about our products, customer needs, processes, and automation strategy. You will have exposure and visibility to the leaders across the Financial Crimes organization, as you work with them to understand their needs and promote solutions that your team develops. As part of your responsibilities, you will update senior management/ stakeholders on progress against plan on a regular basis and escalate issues as required. You will also proactively work to resolve potential conflicts, issues and risks associated with the project as you monitor and follow up.

  • 10+ years of experience in program, product and/or project management experience or equivalent with significant exposure to data science and robotic process automation projects; other experience levels outside of this will be considered for the correct candidate
  • Formal Project Management Qualification, or Process Management equivalent experience; Formal RPA qualifications are a plus
  • Proven track record of delivering successful projects or driving improvements to products or processes
  • Strong working knowledge of RPA best practices will be a huge plus
  • Experience working within and driving projects for large, global, complex organizations across multiple stakeholders and teams
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills for highly complex scenarios and “grey areas
  • Ability to meet aggressive deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to combine technical expertise and business understanding to create commercial benefits
