The Business Development Manager – Technical Solutions is responsible for providing pre-sales and post-sales business process analysis, product function expertise and engineering support for internal sales and professional services teams who are implementing PayPal Credit solutions. This role ensures the quality and timeliness of support to integration and sales teams and looks at the overall technical offerings of our Credit solutions, considering product availability, credit regulations, PayPal payment solutions while keeping in mind the merchant and customer experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide merchants considering the use of PayPal Credit Solutions with business process analysis, product functionality review, and technical requirement definition services as requested in support of PayPal Credit (PPC) Subject Matter Experts, Profession Services (PS) Sales Engineers, Account Executives and pre-sales strategy.  Work with account teams to understand requirements and contribute to proposed solution design.
  • Provide merchants who have committed to implement PayPal Credit Solutions with guidance on changing business processes, website workflow modifications, and reporting systems required to implement PayPal Credit solutions.
  • Facilitate merchant with setting up Credit Messaging, provide technical development and coding support, and provide guidance to the merchant during testing and pre-launch activities, as needed.
  • Assist Sales Engineers and Technical Account Managers with getting merchants engaged in PayPal Credit product implementations Live-To-Site within targeted time frames
  • Work with internal teams to ensure merchants implement PayPal Credit’s solutions with a high degree of quality and using optimal integration strategies and techniques.
  • Collect merchant feedback on ease-of-use and function/feature suitability for merchants’ processing needs. Provide feedback to PayPal Credit Product Management on product improvement and enhancement needs

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in finance and computer science
  • 3+ years of experience with Internet Technologies including Web Services, SOAP, NVP, HTML/HTTP, and FTP/SFTP
  • 3+ years of experience with two or more major programming languages (C++, ASP, Java, .NET, PHP, COM)
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Presentation skills is a plus.  Ability to present proposed solution and discuss in detail
  • Previous experience in credit or financing industry a plus.
  • Some previous sales experience a plus
