The Brazil Marketing Lead is responsible for leading the development and execution of the Consumer and Merchant Marketing Programs and responsible for working in conjunction with Global GTM and PMM to execute programs and products in Brazil. You will be a be a results-driven and collaborative business partner who will lead and manage the team of Marketers within Brazil, be a partner to the Consumer Marketing Lead, Core Markets and BU Leaders within this sector. Success will be defined by the delivery of customer outcomes that drive the commercial growth for Brazil.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of the Brazillian Marketing Strategic Plan for the consumer and merchant business units to align investment and allocation of resources with the best opportunities for growth
  • Lead product delivery from a PMM and GTM perspective to the Brazil market
  • Manage, mentor and inspire the Brazil Marketing Team to achieve their goals, to contribute to the business and to develop, learn and grow while they build a successful marketing career at PayPal
  • Play a leadership role within the International Marketing Team. Contribute to building a high-performance marketing team renown for accountability, executional excellence, business impact and teamwork
  • Partner with the CRM Team to deliver localized Lifecycle Marketing Initiatives to engage, grow and retain customers
  • Lead the development of Customer Acquisition strategies across owned, earned and paid channels
  • Partner with the BU and Finance and Analytics to define the customer metrics by which Brazil Market Archetype will define future success
  • Partner with the Consumer and Merchant segment leads to develop and execute common marketing programs across all stages of the customer funnel. Help define how we achieve localization in a scalable way for the Brazil Market Archetype
  • Manage a roster of Agencies to deliver outstanding brand work for the Brazil Market that delights, engages and wins the hearts and minds of our customers while delivering on commercial targets
  • Support the Merchant Services team to deliver on sales targets through Trade Marketing, Merchant Partnerships and Thought Leadership to inspire and engage prospective customers
  • Drive a customer led, insights focus with the marketing team to intelligently use data and research to drive insight led decision making
  • Lead the development of localized Product Marketing Strategies in partnership with Global Product Marketing and provide a compelling story around the opportunities and needs of Brazil customers to influence the global product development roadmap
  • Effectively build codependent partnerships with the core marketing team and play a thought leadership role in driving marketing best practice with the regional and global marketing communities
  • Play a thought leadership role on the Brazil Executive Team in setting the strategic direction and priorities of the Brazil business while providing strong figurehead leadership qualities across the broader business. Contribute to building a high-performance marketing team renown for accountability, executional excellence, business impact and teamwork.
  • Manage, mentor and inspire the Brazil Marketing Team to achieve their goals, to contribute to the business and to develop, learn and grow while they build a successful marketing career at PayPal.
  • Lead and manage a team of Consumer and B2B Marketers
  • Management of a Marketing Budget

Experience and Skills

  • 15+ years marketing experience, of which at least 7+ years of leadership in highly complex organisations.
  • Degree qualified in Business, Commerce and/or Marketing (preferred not mandatory)
  • Proven ability to influence senior management and deliver a step changes in business performance
  • Outstanding business acumen with ability to interpret results and recommend appropriate action
  • Budget management experience
  • Highly analytical, commercially oriented and motivated by business impact
  • Strategic vision that is seamlessly transitioned into an executional plan
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Change Management Experience in a dynamic organizational structure
  • Experience in driving organizational change management programs
