As a BCSC Validation Manager , your primary responsibilities will to be support the ML/AI model validation team, establish repeatable and trusted processes, communicate out model performance, track model versioning, support data labeling and thinking innovatively on methodologies used to support validation needs. We are looking for someone that can work with technical and business leaders across the organization, that has a strong analytical mindset and has a keen interest in building the right validation support for a fast pace, every evolving program. This team member would also liaison with our second line of defense teams to ensure our practices are in line with regulatory and business risks. Core Duties:

Key Responsibilities

  • People leader – manage the relationships, career pathing, development and success of a validation team.
  • Communicate findings from data and analysis to peers and senior stakeholders, develop ad-hoc Tableau dashboards to analyze and share insights.
  • Work cross-functionally with business leaders, SMEs, product, engineering, data services, design, and other teams to gain valuable insights that will lead to product and business decisions and opportunities.
  • Stay abreast of operational processes and the ever-changing regulatory environment.
  • Operate with minimal supervision as an experienced team member with a robust understanding of industry and internal best practices; independently resolves a wide range of issues.
  • Understand the conceptual/ technical framework, assumptions, limitation of models, and quantitative methods.
  • Assessing conceptual soundness, evaluating model assumptions and data integrity/ quality
  • Testing model numerical and/or computational accuracy and other model efficacy measurements
  • Performing and reviewing validation tests, discussing findings with internal and external stakeholders, writing validation reports.
  • Detail orientated
  • Experience with NLP, Cluster, and other ML practices
  • Keen on building repeatable checks for data consistency
  • Manage maintain and refine trust level data, having full understanding of methodologies used to derive them
  • Track model versions and performance, understand best practices in validation data sampling in text.
  • Using statistical methods, detection  of unexpected change in model performance in  broad spectrum of data sets and supporting diagnosis of cause, as well as partnering with go forward plan.  

Prerequisite Knowledge and Proficiencies:

  • Model validation, Model Risk Management, or similar experience
  • Knowledge of solutions that utilize artificial intelligence, machine learning and/or neural networking.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills in all formats (verbal, written).  Ability to effectively communicate with teammates, peer team leaders and business unit management.
  • Self-motivated
  • Advanced analytical, cross-referencing and deductive reasoning skills.  
  • Thrives working in a fast paced environment while maintaining composure and able to make sound decisions under pressure
  • Project management abilities, including tracking, communicating and meeting deadlines.
  • Must display a high level of professionalism, sound judgment, commitment, integrity, teamwork, and customer service.
  • Proven organizational, presentation and leadership skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with co-workers and other business units.
  • Proficient in the use of a personal computer and its applications, including Windows and Windows based applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.).

Experience:

  • 3+ years Related experience
  • 3+ years in data technologies and tools experience

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in the use of database applications, Python, SQL, analytical tools such as SAS or R (Hive, GCP,  and/or Teradata)
  • Experience managing a global, multi-cultural team

Educational Requirements:

  • BS/BA Degree or educational equivalent
