The B2B Marketing Lead for Mexico will be responsible for step changing the value and efficiency of both merchant acquisition and engagement across the Mexican market. With a strong partnership with sales and product marketing, you’ll be responsible for developing a deep understanding of the local market nuances and customer landscape. The person will report directly into the head of acquisition for international merchant marketing and partner with functions across the business. Success will be defined by the delivery of customer outcomes that drive the commercial growth for the international business.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

  • Insights and execution of digital marketing programs from prospect to sign up complete.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to create a demand generation playbook across SEM, SEO, contextual targeting, retargeting, content marketing, web optimization that acquires new merchants.
  • Work to continuously improve strategy, tactics and programs by measuring performance, testing new, adjusting cost per acquisition, customer value, channel mix and messaging as necessary.
  • Engage with digital agencies to brief strategically sound programs and initiatives in a timely manner with regional counterparts.
  • Collaborate with a matrixed team of marketers to develop and deliver breakthrough outcomes
  • Partner with business leaders, finance and analytics to define the customer metrics by which to measure merchant acquisition success.
  • Be the voice of the customer, helping to inform and create culturally resonant ways to connect with merchants through localized global initiatives, executed with excellence.
  • Deliver brilliant programs with local merchants to drive engagement with both existing and new customers across the market.
  • Support on the development and execution of programs for both acquisition of new merchants and engagement of existing ones, to drive 100% share of check out adoption.
  • Execution both smaller tactical local initiatives through paid, owned and earned channels, as well as support in delightful localization of larger global programs.
  • Effectively build strong partnerships with local sales and product marketing leads to ensure alignment and integration of sales and marketing efforts.
  • Be the local market customer champion by developing a robust knowledge set of customer needs, challenges, opportunities which we can leverage as insights to guide programs.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the competitive landscape informing how best to position our product set.
  • Understand local market nuances with respect to regulatory and financial limitations as well as partner landscape, and how these factors impact our business operations and market opportunity.
  • Be well versed in our product set capabilities and where they provide a competitive advantage.
  • Have a rigorous understanding of our current market portfolio by key financial metrics across segments.

Experience and Skills (the what)

  • 7+ years marketing experience.
  • Degree qualified in Administration, Business and/or Marketing (preferred not mandatory).
  • Highly analytical, commercially oriented and motivated by business impact.
  • Execution orientated and a self-starter.
  • Highly structured, with strong planning and organizing skills - strong prioritization skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, both in Portuguese and English.
  • Ideally experience in working in a global matrixed environment and International Company.
  • Can work in a fast paced, dynamic environment, high change agility.
  • Effective partner and collaborator with cross functional teams.
