Join us in putting an end to the ordinary way the world defines financial freedom As an Application Manager for Engineering Applications, you are responsible for improving engineering processes and supporting critical development pipelines and tools by managing improvement, implementation and maintenance of the applications used by our engineers.

You will lead multiple initiatives and enable our product development through your extensive relationship with vendors and engineering teams. You will also ensure that only authorized users/groups have access to each development tool.

Responsibilities:

Supports technology goals and has a thorough understanding of processes including:

  • Change management

  • Problem escalation to external vendors and internal partners

  • Interface to vendor problem reporting tools and information 

  • Training and documentation

  • Service Level Agreement negotiation

  • Vendor Management

  • Risk Management, Security and Compliance

 

Guides engineering teams through business processes needed to apply the right applications to engineering problems.

  • Works with engineering teams to unify and improve efficiency of application usage

  • Has close contact with other supporting teams such as Legal, Finance and IT Service

  • Prepares business case for technology solutions

  • Leverages existing tools when they are a viable solution

  • Prepares RFP for technology solutions and assists in the evaluation of responses

 

Is an active participant in vendor product enhancement, and is responsible for:

  • Prioritization of vendor enhancements in conjunction with the engineering teams

  • Review of proposed vendor product enhancements to determine their price and suitability

  • Identification and communication of enhancements to the user community

  • Transition of solution enhancements to the production environments

 

Evaluates and communicates information related to solution performance by comparing anticipated benefits with actual benefits realized by:

  • Developing solution performance metrics

  • Evaluating actual cost

  • Enables software budgeting and forecasting related to licensing, increased fees, headcount and adoption

  • Preparing cost and benefit analysis 

  • Reporting metrics based on solution functionality and user acceptance

We hire people not CV's:

  • Extensive experience in the areas of business or engineering process analysis with a related degree or substantial work experience in the areas of business or engineering process analysis with a non-related degree. 

  • Higher University degree from an accredited institution

  • Experience with relevant software applications

  • Background within Engineering/Product Development

  • Experience from working within agile teams

  • Goals are set individually in collaboration with the Tech Manager and the engineering teams supported.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated record of establishing effective working relationships with diverse vendors and functions.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and articulately in both oral and written communication 

  • Strong problem solving, analytical, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize in a rapidly changing environment

  • Thriving in a fast-paced environment while driving multiple engagements and workstreams simultaneously
