The primary function of this position is to utilize and support various accounting systems to ensure activity is posted accurately and timely to the PayPal general ledger. This position will work collaboratively with Product Development, Business Operations, Global Operations, Accounting, and Systems to determine root cause and resolution of issues.

SPECIFIC DUTIES        
1.    Ensure daily reconciliation jobs and tasks are completed according the assigned SLAs. 
2.    Work with Omaha Accounting managers to identify and prioritize open production issues.
3.    Identify process flows to determine impacted functional groups to identify stakeholders for issue resolution. 
4.    Perform root cause analysis across multiple environments to determine the source of the issue.
5.    Develop and maintain metrics to measure time to resolution and performance against agreed upon SLAs.
6.    Other duties and special projects as assigned.

III.    REQUIRED PERFORMANCE 
1.    Perform at a Meets or Exceeds expectations level for all specific duties outlined above.
2.    Demonstrate a solid understanding of PayPal’s business products, transactions, systems and related accounting process flows. Understand the accounting implications from the transaction level, to the reconciliation level and then up to the general ledger of various money movement accounts.

IV.     JOB QUALIFICATIONS
A.  Education
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, MIS, or a related field preferred.
Additional experience can be substituted for education.
    B.  Experience
1.    3+ years relevant work experience in operations or accounting within the payments industry
2.    Experience working with research and/or reconciling software
3.    Experience working with cross –functional and international teams.
4.    Proficient in Microsoft Office products
