As Account Executive you will be a sales leader in the region, responsible to drive new growth by cross-selling PayPal products into the existing customer portfolio. You will build strategic C-level relationships and develop robust customer growth plans mapping PayPal's suite of payment and commerce solutions to the account's business needs.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Sell PayPal Platform commerce services (PayPal wallet, card processing, fraud management solutions and other) to a defined list of existing customers, demonstrate ability to leverage existing relationships to deliver new business
     
  • Strategic account development
    • Analyzes customers business needs in detail to identify opportunities for cross-sell
    • Develops and executes customer and portfolio growth strategy and action plans to drive short-term and long-term goals
    • Generates product strategies and value propositions tailored to each customer by aligning PayPal solutions to account's unique business needs
    • Builds trusted relationships with clients at multiple levels, including users, managers and C-level business leaders, to increase sales opportunities
    • Travels up to 20% of the time
       
  • Cross-functional collaboration
    • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure an effective sales & delivery, including product and technical specialists
    • Liaises with diverse groups at merchant client, including Finance, Technology, and Operations, in order to sell complex solutions with multiple stakeholders
    • Operates as an integral member of the broader sales team, sharing learning and leading by example
    • Proactively solicits coaching from management and applies to field activities
       
  • Sales management
    • Drives revenue growth of assigned customer portfolio by meeting or exceeding quotas on quarterly and annual basis
    • Manages the sales cycle for assigned PayPal accounts including outreach and relationship management, sales proposals, and negotiating and closing business
    • Maintains accurate and up to date records in customer relationship management (CRM)

Job Requirements:

  • Min. 6+years of relationship management & sales experience within B2B sector offering complex solutions to large enterprise companies in commerce, travel, digital goods, tech industries
  • Continuous track record of successfully managing multiple accounts and exceeding business targets
  • Proven consultative sales abilities and business acumen and the ability to understand business plans / financials to create value for customers
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a matrix environment, collaborate across multiple departments, and influence all levels within an organization to close sales
