GENERAL SUMMARY Responsible, under general supervision, for moderately complex engineering and/or analytical activities associated with one or more technical areas within the engineer function (such as, but not limited to, software engineering, database engineering, system integration, design). SPECIFIC DUTIES Work with business units for new initiatives. Responsible for the following: engineering software monitoring tools, software reporting tools, database analysis\reporting, experience with system architecture design, capacity planning to include system utilization. Under minimal supervision responsible for routine maintenance of the systems. Assists in the identification of system/network problems through the use of automation and proactive alerting tools. . Tests, adjust, and troubleshoot software as necessary. Make capacity recommendations to management by monitoring the performance of the application, identifying potential areas for increased demand based on interaction with the business units. Responds to the issues that come up daily on the function of the company’s applications equipment. Works with vendor on projects related to the applications. Reports system problems to our vendors and tracks their responses through to resolution. Supplies documentation regarding the function, performance, traffic, or administration of the systems. Evaluates new software and hardware products.

  • 5+ years of meaningful experience in enterprise level application development using sophisticated  database technologies.
  • 5+ years of programming experience Python Data Analytics platforms, Pandas Data frames,sqlalchemy,numpy etc
  • Hands on Experience with large volume databases for production environments.
  • Experience in distributed data processing systems.
  • In depth Python programming experience in building high scale enterprise level Customer Support Application
  • Experience in spark,kafka,big data technologies
  • Experience in building Django / Flask
  • Experience in consuming or exposing web services (i.e. SOAP, REST)
  • Thorough knowledge on UNIX/Linux platforms. Scripting experience with Shell, JSON, Advanced SQLs, Oracle PL/SQLs
  • Proven track record in supporting the expansion and maintenance of various Oracle database based solutions.
  • Familiarity  with data science projects is a plus
  • Ability to successfully  collaborate with vendor teams
  • Experience in full system implementation life-cycles using Agile
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently with minimal direction
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a multi-discipline, geographically dispersed team.
